Private Business dinners for Legal or Medical offices, Pharmaceutical Companies, Financial companies, Insurance Companies and businesses generally, have been popular at CAV, whether they include workshops with speakers and slide shows (we are happy to provide a large screen at no extra cost), board meetings, retirement or holiday parties. We have had repeated holiday parties from the same businesses often for more than ten years.
CAV offers a lovely private room for business dinners, seating up to 65 guests. This room may be fully set for larger parties, or for smaller groups may be divided into a lounge area for socializing and a dining seated area. The room has Biedermeier chairs in cherry burl, which are very comfortable. Prix Fixe Menus are available, in different price ranges to meet your needs. These may consist of several appetizers, followed by a three course seated dinner, or depending on your preferences, simply an upscale three course meal. CAV has received numerous awards, both for it’s ambiance and contemporary cuisine (see reviews).
It is also possible to make the private room available for an extended period, to hold a business meeting (either in the morning followed by lunch, or in the afternoon or evening, followed by dinner, or for the whole day.
Small groups as well as larger groups, are readily accomodated in CAV’s Private Antiques Room. For groups, with more than 65 guests, CAV may offer the Private Use of the whole Front of the House and Bar, or the Whole of CAV, which seats up to 125 guests for dinner.
CAV also plans upscale cocktail parties, when desirable. In summer, CAV has a lovely private patio/courtyard splashed with colorful flowers.

Coconut Shrimp served in half coconut shell with dip
Crostini with herb marinated grilled red peppers
Mini Skewered glazed Tenderloin beef balls
Salad of fancy baby wild greens with julienned endives in a champagne vinaigrette
served with Fresh baked French bread and butter

Wild Mushroom Risotto with wild mushrooms
in a white truffle sauce
Seared North Atlantic Salmon in a Lychee beurre blanc with Lychee fruit,
served with herb roasted red Bliss potatoes
Hijiki crusted Yellowfin Tuna, served rare, with Wasabi aioli,
pickled cucumber salad and Vegetable Nori rolls
Carmelized U-Ten Scallops with Lobster butter and Balsamic reduction
served with Lemon zest risotto and Shrimp garnish
Duck Confit and seared breast with Grand Marnier demi-glace, drizzled with Blood
orange coulis and brandied onions sweet potato mash (or an upscale chicken entree may be substituted)
Filet Mignon, served with Bordelaise sauce, butter poached Asparagus, potato two
ways; Potato plank, and olive infused pomme puree and crispy leeks.

Blackberry Merlot Sorbet, with chocolate sauce, and chocolate pirouette
served with coffee (or you may select from other housemade desserts)
